SLAUGHTERHOUSE 'NOT' ON SHADY RECORDS!

NO SLAUGHTERHOUSE ON SHADY

Royce Da 5′9 is deading rumors that Slaughterhouse will be signing with Shady.  Apparently their appearance in the Forever video was just a right time right place moment.  Here’s what he had to say:

“There’s gonna be rumors when somebody see something like that but it just is what it is…We just all family. As everybody knows, Em is a good friend of mine. We’ve been good friends for years. I just had my Slaugterhouse brothers in town and Paul asked me to come down and be in the video and they just happened to be in town with me so I just brought ‘em”

Thanks for clearing that up Illseed

Eminem - Beautiful

While some critics argue that the majority of Relapse is an attempt to be someone he no longer is (trying to regress to the personality and style of music that he had on The Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP), “Beautiful” is a clear example of Eminem’s humbling sincerity.

The song “Beautiful” is a creative outlet for his depression, and deals with his depression related to the loss of Detroit as an industrial city. High unemployment and economic distress are the cause of his feelings in this song.

“Beautiful” deals with Eminem’s different feelings and impressions, ranging from depression about his fame and career to more upbeat and inspirational concepts, similar to “Lose Yourself.” It’s also worth noting that Eminem started writing “Beautiful” when he was in rehab then finished it when he was sober, which may explain the stark contrast in the lyrics in comparison with the other songs from Relapse.

But don’t let ‘em say you ain’t beautiful (Ohhhh)

They can all get f**ked, just stay true to you (Sooooo)

Don’t let ‘em say you ain’t beautiful (Ohhhh)

They can all get f**ked, just stay true to you (Sooooo)

Lately I’ve been hard to reach, I’ve been too long on my own

Everybody has a private world, where they can be alone

Are you calling me? Are you trying to get through?

Are you reaching out for me? I’m reaching out for you

I’m just so fucking depressed, I just can’t seem to get out this slump

If I could just get over this hump, but I need something to pull me out this dump

I took my bruises, took my lumps, fell down and I got right back up

But I need that spark to get psyched back up, in order for me to pick the mic back up

I don’t know how or why or when I ended up in this position I’m in

I’m starting to feel distant again, so I decided just to pick this pen

Up and try to make an attempt to vent but I just can’t admit or come to grips

With the fact that I may be done with rap, I need a new outlet

And I know some shit so hard to swallow, but I just can’t sit back and wallow

In my own sorrow, but I know one fact: I’ll be one tough act to follow

One tough act to follow, I’ll be one tough act to follow

Here today, gone tomorrow, but you’d have to walk a thousand miles…

In my shoes, just to see, what it’s like to be me

I’ll be you, let’s trade shoes, just to see what it’d be like to

Feel your pain, you feel mine, go inside each other’s minds

Just to see what we’d find, look at shit through each other’s eyes

But don’t let ‘em say you ain’t beautiful (Ohhhh)

They can all get fucked, just stay true to you (Sooooo)

Don’t let ‘em say you ain’t beautiful (Ohhhh)

They can all get fucked, just stay true to you (Sooooo)

I think I’m starting to lose my sense of humour, everything’s so tense and gloom, I

Almost feel like I got to check the temperature of the room just as soon as

I walk in, it’s like all eyes on me, and so I try to avoid any eye contact

Cause if I do that, then it opens the door for conversation, like I want that

I’m not looking for extra attention, I just wanna be just like you

Blend in with the rest of the room, maybe just point me to the closest restroom

I don’t need no fucking man servant, tryna follow me around and wipe my ass

And laugh at every single joke I crack and half of ‘em ain’t even funny like “Hah!

Marshall you’re so funny man you should be a comedian, God damn”

Unfortunately I am, I just hide behind the tears of a clown

So why don’t you all sit down, listen to the tale I’m about to tell

Hell, we don’t gotta trade our shoes, and you ain’t gotta walk no thousand miles…

In my shoes, just to see, what it’s like to be me

I’ll be you, let’s trade shoes, just to see what it’d be like to

[ Eminem Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]

Feel your pain, you feel mine, go inside each other’s minds

Just to see what we’d find, look at shit through each other’s eyes

But don’t let ‘em say you ain’t beautiful (Ohhhh)

They can all get fucked, just stay true to you (Sooooo)

Don’t let ‘em say you ain’t beautiful (Ohhhh)

They can all get fucked, just stay true to you (Sooooo)

Nobody asked for life to deal us what these bullshit hands we’re dealt

We gotta take these cards ourselves, and flip them, don’t expect no help

Now I could of either just sat on my ass and pissed and moaned

Or take this situation in which I’m placed, and get up and get my own

I was never the type of kid to wait by the door and pack his bags

Or sat on the porch and hoped and pray for a dad to show up who never did

I just wanted to fit in, every single place, every school I went

I dreamed of being that cool kid, even if it meant acting stupid

Aunt Edna always told me, “Keep making that face it’ll get stuck like that”

Meanwhile I’m just standing there holding my tongue tryna talk like “thissss”

Till I stuck my tongue on that frozen stop sign pole at eight years old

I learned my lesson then, cause I wasn’t trying to impress my friends no more

But I already told you my whole life story, not just based on my description

Cause where you see it, from where you’re sitting, it’s probably a hundred and ten percent different

I guess we would have to walk a mile in each other’s shoes at least

What size you wear? I wear tens, let’s see if you could fit your feet…

Lately I’ve been hard to reach, I’ve been too long on my own (Ohhhh)

Everyone has their private world, where they can be alone (Soooo)

Are you calling me? Are you trying to get through? (Ohhhh)

Are you reaching out for me? I’m reaching out for you (Soooo)

Yeah, to my babies, stay strong. Dad will be home soon. And to the rest of the world, God gave you them shoes, to fit you, so put ‘em on and wear em. Be yourself, man. Be proud of who you are. Even if it sounds corny, don’t ever let no one tell you, you ain’t beautiful.

Drake - Forever

Combine Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne and Eminem in a song and it’ll sure be worth a listen. Drake’s cool too. He comes out with nice original tracks.

It may not mean nothing to y’all,

but understand nothing was done for me,

so i don’t plan on stopping at all,

I want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man,

I’m shutting sh-t down in the mall,

and telling every girl she the one for me,

and i aint even planning to call,

i want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man,

[Chorus]

It may not mean nothing to y’all,

but understand nothing was done for me,

so i don’t plan on stopping at all,

I want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man,

I’m shutting sh-t down in the mall,

and telling every girl she the one for me,

and i aint even planning to call,

i want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man,

[Drake]

Last name ever,

first name greatest,

like a sprained ankle boy I ain’t nuttin to play with,

it started off local but thanks to all the haters,

i know G4 pilots on a first name basis,

and your city faded off to brown, Nino,

she insists she got more class, we know!

swimming in the money come and find me, Nemo,

if i was at the club you know I ball’d, Kimo,

drop the mixtape that sh-t sounded like an album

who’d have thought a country wide tour would be the outcome

labels want my name beside the X like Malcolm

everybody got a deal, I did it without one,

yeah n-gga i’m about my business,

killing all these rappers you would swear I had a hit list,

everyone who doubted me is asking for forgiveness,

if you aint been a part of it at least you got to witness,

b-tches,

[Chorus]

[Kanye West]

Ever ever, Mr West is in the Building,

Aint no question who about to kill em,

I used to have hood dreams,

big fame, big chains,

i stuck my d-ck inside this life until that b-tch came,

I went hard all fall like the ball teams,

just so I can make it rain all spring,

y’all seen my story my glory,

i had raped the game young,

you can call it statutory,

when a n-gga blow up they gon build statues for me

old money Benjamin Button, whaat, nuttin,

now superbad chicks giving me mcLovin,

you would think I ran the world like Michelle’s husband,

you would think these n-ggas would know me when they really doesn’t

like they was down with the old me no you f-cking wasn’t,

your’e such a f-cking loser,

he didn’t even go to class Bueller,

trade the Grammy plaques just to have my granny back,

lyrics courtesy of killerhiphop.com

remember she had that bad hip like a fanny pack,

chasing that stardom would turn you into a maniac,

all the way in Hollywood and I can’t even act,

they pull their cameras out and God damn they snap,

I used to want this thing forever y’all can have it back,

[Chorus]

[Lil Wayne]

Ok, hello its da martian,

space jam Jordan’s,

I want this sh-t forever wake up and smell the Garden,

fresher than the harvest

step up to the target,

if i had one guess than I guess im just New Orleans,

and I will never stop like i’m running from the cops,

hop up in my car and told my chauffeur “to the top”,

life is such a f-cking roller coaster then it drops,

but what should I scream for this is my theme park,

my minds shine even when my thoughts seem dark,

pistol on my side you don’t wanna hear that thing talk,

let the king talk check the price and pay attention,

Lil Wayne thats what they got to say or mention,

lyrics courtesy of killerhiphop.com

Im like Nevada in the middle of the summer,

i’m resting in the lead I need a pillow and a cover,

shhh, my foots sleeping on the gas,

no brake pads no such thing as last,

[Chorus]

[Eminem]

There they go packing stadiums

as Shady spits his flow,

nuts they go, macadamia they go so balistic whoa,

we can make them look like boso’s,

he’s wondering if he should spit this slow,

f-ck no go for broke,

his cup just runneth over oh no

he aint had a buzz like this since the last time that he overdosed,

they’ve been waiting patiently for Pinnochio to poke his nose,

back into the game and they know,

rap will never be the same as before,

bashing in the brains of these hoes,

and establishing a name as he goes,

the passion and the flame is ignited,

you can’t put it out once we light it,

this sh-t is exactly what the f-ck that i’m talking about when we riot,

you dealin with a few true villians

who stand inside of the booth truth spillin,

lyrics courtesy of killerhiphop.com

and spit true feelings, til our tooth fillings come flying up out of our mouths

now rewind it

payback muthaf-cka for the way that you doubted me so how’s it taste?

when I slap the taste out your mouth with the bass so loud that it shakes the place,

i’m hannibal lecter so just in case your thinking of saving face,

you aint gonna have no face to save by the time Im through with this place,

so Drake….

[Chorus]

[End]

The Rumor Mill: Eminem's People Sue Apple

Millions of dollars are being disputed in the case between Apple Inc. and Eminem’s publishing company, Eight Mile Style LLC. The publishers are saying a permission wasn’t given to  Aftermath Records to allow  Apple to sell the rapper’s songs through Itunes. Apple’s lawyers are claiming contracts say nothing of profits only being made through compact discs. So it’s up to the judge on the case to decide if contracts, between the publishing and record companies, state whether or not Eminem’s songs can be digitally downloaded through the company. The trial started today. We will keep you posted.

“The ‘Swagga Like Us’ Of 2009″

———

Yes, that right.

From Swagga Like Us in ‘08,

to Forever in ‘09.

All-star featurings alongside the upcoming rapper Drake, on the ‘re-mastered’ version of “I Want This Forever”
(which, previously featured Lil’ Wayne & Kid-Kid),

now with his mentor & ‘ex-Swagga Like Us’ rapper, Lil’ Wayne, bringing along with him from the ‘08 single, Kanye West…
AND, since Relapse, the comeback of the one & only Eminem.

Produced by resident Canadian (to Drake), Boi-1da…

You got yourself a hit! LOL

The video, directed by Hype Williams,

was shot, promoting LeBron James’ upcoming film/documentary,
“More Than A Game”, based on the story of his team making the rise to fame & glory,

through their love of the game, basketball.

Not only does the video feature King James shootin’ some hoops during his sophomore years,

as well as the rappers themselves,

but keep a close eye out for some cameos…
(…The Alchemist, Mr. Porter, Royce Da 5′9, Slaughterhouse, Alfamega & Birdman…)

drake ye wayne em...forever video

Drake feat. Eminem, Kanye West & Lil Wayne – Forever

Honestly…I think overall the vid is kind of boring. I dig certain parts but it moves a little slow for me.

I really don’t like Drake’s performance. Kanye’s is better, his pyro technics are pretty cool and I like how they die out toward the end. The LJ stuff thrown in is done pretty well in general (mainly just before wayne’s verse). I like Wayne’s performance enough. I like the red lighting, feels sort of drunk. Eminem’s performance is dope, even though not much happens…His verse is just way more interesting I guess. He just looks hungry when he spits…plus they feature Slaughterhouse (the crew…yes, including Royce!). Rumor has it the pieces are in place for a Slaughterhouse and Em track…I’d love to hear Royce and Em (bad meets evil) back together. I really like that last shot of Drake alot! It left a good taste in my eyesockets.

What ya’ll opinions??

Peace, and forever love!

Oh…and in case you missed the post…here’s InfeRed’s debut music video for The Higher…

FAMOUS PEOPLE

Researching a show where all the songs referenced famous people was actually quite enlightening. Who knew that so many famous people felt compelled to record songs about other famous people? I suppose there’s a little bit of the fan in all of us. It was a shame that I had used up some very good songs that would have fitted the theme during my Men’s Names and Women’s Names shows, but there were still plenty of tracks left over to fit the bill. I did try and stay away from the more mawkish tribute songs, so no Candle in the Wind amongst this lot I’m afraid.

We opened the show with the Beloved’s HELLO. The song mentions a number of famous people chosen to loosely fit a “saints and sinners” theme. Those that get a nod include Jeffery Archer, Fred Astaire, Little Richard, Barry Humphries and Charlie Parker. I like the way the Supremes are simply called “Mary Wilson, Di and Flo”. Even Fred Flintstone gets a mention.

Next it was another song with a list. Eminem recently won the MTV award for Best Hip Hip Video for WE MADE YOU. The song spoofs, among others, Sarah Palin, Amy Winehouse and Jessica Simpson. Hopefully it hasn’t reached viewer saturation point yet, ’cause here it is again:

Allanah Myles’ #1 hit, BLACK VELVET is about Elvis Presley. It can refer to either his likeness frequently being painted on black velvet or his voice. Here’s a bit of trivia for you: Black Velvet was the name of the hair dye that Elvis used to give his naturally brown hair its distinctive black sheen.

SWEET GENE VINCENT remained in Ian Dury’s set list for almost his entire career, even after other songs had been dropped because of the singer’s worsening health. It was played at his very last concert at the London Palladium in February 2000 and is still performed by The Blockheads. Ian Dury was arguably Gene Vincent’s biggest fan and he claims to have bought every single that Vincent ever produced. Dury’s stage clothes also reflected Vincent’s influence, notably black leather gloves. Dury constantly denied that his identification with the singer, who was also crippled and forced to wear a leg brace, was in any way an attraction. He claimed that he didn’t even know Vincent was crippled when he first became a fan. According to Dury, it was all about the voice and his look. That’s Gene Vincent on the left and here is a clip of Ian Dury and the Blockheads performing at the Concert for the People of Kampuchea in 1979. The big bonus is the addition of Mick Jones from the Clash. Brilliant.

BETTE DAVIS EYES was a huge hit for Kim Carnes. Even Bette Davis herself was a fan. The actress admitted to loving the song and approached Carnes and the songwriters to thank them. She said that it made her seem very up-to-date with her grandson. She had Carnes sing the song live for her at a tribute held just before her death.

I included a  couple more songs about actors: Bree Sharp’s song about DAVID DUCHOVNY proves that she is also an adoring fan of the actor from X-Files and, more recently, Californication. Billy Bragg & Wilco gave us a song dedicated to INGRID BERGMAN, with lyrics by Woodie Guthrie.

David Bowie played the song ANDY WARHOL to the artist, who reportedly disliked it as he thought the lyrics made fun of his physical appearance. When the song had finished playing, Warhol and Bowie supposedly just stared at each other for a while until Warhol said “I like your shoes” and the pair then had a conversation about shoes. As you do.

The Modern Lovers sang about another artist, PABLO PICASSO and Simon & Garfunkle contributed a song about the great American architect FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT.

The ever-cheerful ska star, Prince buster, was more concerned with spelling the name of his subject in AL CAPONE. A guilty pleasure followed: Boney M with RASPUTIN. Who knew that this Russian baddie was a raging love machine? Here’s the clip, just to remind you of how much fun disco actually was:

Although David Bowie admits that JEAN GENIE is a clumsy pun on the name of the author Jean Genet, he claims that the real subject of the song is his friend Iggy Pop. The line “He’s so simple minded, he can’t drive his module” would later give the band Simple Minds their name. There are several clips of this song available but take a look at this one. I chose it just because of the outfit. Oh, and the band rocks too.

Morphine gave us a song not just about, but in the style of, the American beat poet and author Jack KEROUAC. And then it was Bob Dylan with his protest song HURRICANE about the boxer Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter. The song compiles alleged acts of racism and profiling against Carter, which Dylan describes as leading to a false trail and conviction. The song is credited with helping to overturn the conviction.

We lightened the mood somewhat with a bit of Pop from Bananarama: ROBERT DE NIRO’S WAITING. And then it was The Clash with their song about the another actor, Montgomery Clift, who, after a serious accident, could only be shot from THE RIGHT PROFILE (see left).

U2 paid homage to singer Billie Holiday with their song ANGEL OF HARLEM and then The Barenaked Ladies told the story of a man whose life parallels that of the Beach Boys’ BRIAN WILSON, particularly during his time spent with a psychologist.

Two tracks followed that are quite critical of their subjects. Carly Simon with a song supposedly about Warren Beatty – YOU’RE SO VAIN and then it was Modest Mouse with BUKOWSKI. “Yeah, I know he’s a pretty good read, but God, who’d want to be such an a….hole.” True.

Next was a wonderful song from George Harrison, dedicated to John Lennon: ALL THOSE YEARS AGO. Here, in tribute to both of them, is the clip.

We closed the show with one of my favourite new artists, Julian Velard, with JIMMY DEAN & STEVE McQEEN.

Here’s the complete playlist. If the title doesn’t tell the story, I’ve bracketed the person who the song is about.

Don't Believe the Hype: Alden Samuel McCroskey III AKA Syko Sam is Just Another Psychotic White, Not a Rapper

“Just another punk ass psychotic white boy with an Eminem complex.” rapper Criminally Insane

Controversial rapper Criminally Insane is thrashing white media’s portrayal of Alden Samuel McCroskey III AKA Syko Sam as a rapper and calling the suspected killer “just another psychopathic white boy with an Eminem complex.”

Twenty year old McCroskey, who is being held in the killings of four people who were found at the home of Longwood University professor Debra S. Kelley Farmville, faces charges of first-degree murder, robbery and grand larceny of an automobile.

“This kid is just another punk ass psychotic white boy with an Eminem complex,” Insane says. “The white media is associated this psychopath as a rapper but he’s the garbage he’s talking about ain’t rap; it’s psychotic white hip hop.”

“You’re not the first, just to let you know. I’ve killed many people and I kill them real slow. It’s the best feeling, watching their last breath. Stabbing and stabbing till there’s nothing left,” McCroskey sings in “My Dark Side.”

Eminem/Mos Def/Black Thought Cipher!!!

A tovább mögé benézve láthattok egy cipher-t a 2008-as műsorból.

Whoa it's Wednesday.

The week is going by mighty fast. Woo, I can’t wait for Friday. I don’t have any plans yet, but I’m going to make some. We finally found out the homecoming theme for this year, Safari! Hahaha. I’m somewhat excited.

I am in love love love with Eminem. He’s a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I’d put the lyrics of my favorite song by him, Rainman, but I think I could possibly get in trouble…So maybe some other day

So, instead I’ve decided to rolllll old school and give you some of the Backstreet Boys. Yess, yes I know they’re great.

Everybody Backstreet’s Back:

Everybody

Rock your body

Everybody

Rock your body right,

Backstreet’s back alright!

Oh my god we’re back again

Brothers sisters everybody sing

Gonna bring the flavor

Show you how

Gotta a question for you

Better answer now

Am I original

Yeah

Am I the only one

Yeah

Am I sexual

Yeah

Am I everything you need

You better rock your body now

(Chorus) Everybody yeah

Rock your body yeah

Everybody

Rock your body right

Backstreet’s back alright

Now throw your hands up in the air

And wave ‘em around like you just don’t care

If you wanna party let me hear you yell

Cuz we’ve got it going on again

Am I original Yeah

Am I the only one

Yeah

Am I sexual

Yeah

Am I everything you need

You better rock your body now

Chorus

So everybody everywhere Don’t be afraid don’t have no fear

Gonna tell the world

Make you understand

As long as there be music

We’ll be coming back again

Chorus (x2)

The Backstreet Boys have had 13 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and have sold over 100 million albums, making them the best selling boy band of all time.

Eminem vs Kanye West! Four nominations

Beyonce vs Lady Gaga! Nine nominations.

The night began with a Tribute to Michael Jackson. Madonna walked out on stage (as the crowd erupted w/ excitement.)

“Michael Jackson was born in August 1968. Michael Jackson was born in the Midwest. So was I. Michael Jackson had 8 brothers and sisters. Michael Jackson never got to have a childhood and he spent his whole life looking for it,” Madonna said.

“There is no question he was the greatest entertainer of all time. Elegance of Fred Estair and packed the punch of Muhammad Ali,” she told the audience. Then the NIGHT BEGAN.

Dancers walked on stage and “Thriller” began. They were dressed in past Michael Jackson video attire and did a presentation of “Thriller,” “Smooth Criminal.” (among others) and then the AMAZING HAPPENED. Janet Jackson walked on stage and performed “Scream” with her brother in the background on video mimmiking every dance move. AMAZING. AMAZING.

Beyonce, Jay-Z, Eminem, Megan Fox, Kanye West and P. Diddy (to name a few) were in the building. Shakira and Pink were rockin the same dress. Nonetheless, Radio Music Hall was jumping, y’all. Did I mention Russell Brand was the host. Dude’s crazy. Abbzolutely C.R.A.Z.Y. It was a Celebration of Michael Jackson. Did I mention Lady Gaga was bi-sexual? I like it! Now to the Awards.

Best Female Video? Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Katie Perry or Pink?? And the Winner is “Taylor Swift.”

Celebrities Hides Behind Bush On Public Option

Celebrities have not put their face on Health-Care Reform yet. There were many celebrities who show their disappointment towards President Bush. They spoke out against the War in Iraq and Hurricane Katrina. They did what they thought was right and spoke their mind even if there was backlash. Many celebrities have charities that help provide care around the world in the poverty-stricken Countries. Though they haven’t spoke up on Health-Care Reform because they have their Insurance and they expect Americans to get their own. Many Celebrities had the time to support President Obama during his campaign and root for change. They don’t want to speak up and help bring change to our Health-Care System. Celebrities spoke out against Hurricane Katrina which affected Thousands of Americans, but Health-Care Reform will effect Millions over the years and continue until a real Reform Bill is passed.
